This weekend was spent with Ian’s godparents again. This time with a birthday to celebrate with. Was Ian’s Godmother’s b’day. Our gift to her was to have Darren’s mother to cook her “nasi lemak” and we packed everything to Godma’s in the evening for dinner. Spent the weekend with relaxing and eating again! Yup, we had to keep up to our 2-hour intervals. What a task!
Saturday evening, WKit came over and joined us for dinner in Goh Tong and for some yummy Tiramisu cake. After savouring the cake, nuggets and fries, we continued watching Final Destination 3. Made sure Ian slept before the gory parts started. Here are some pictures taken during the weekend.

The beauty of having a long table…

After dinner at Goh Tong, cakes and McDonalds…

Day after, with the little gift from us.
Happy Birthday Gillien….
Two weeks ago, very bravely, I brought Ian my 31 mth old son for his first movie at the cinema. Managed to book tickets for the earliest slot for the movie Cars. In the mean time, got him all psyched up just to make sure he knows what to expect. Since Darren was out for a game of golf, and instead of staying at home watching telly, we were off to our first movie.
Armed with his box of Thomas the train pocky biscuit, my small box of popcorn and bottled water, we sat comfortably and noticed there were 2 other kids in the cinema. Phew! Lucky there were other kids too! Knowing kids, it’s most likely they will be chattering away or even screaming to get out after the movie starts. I had to constantly remind and whisper into Ian’s ears… “Try not to talk so loud, if you want anything, you can whisper into mummy’s ears, capish?” Yeap! Well understood. Kept showing Ian… “look at the big screen? It’s like a big TV”.
Just as the trailers of upcoming movies started along with other advertisements, the other kid, said to her daddy “I’m scared of the big screen!!” I’m guessing she’s probably 4-5 years? Then came mine… “Mummy I dun want big TV”. I had to pacify him, hold on to him… and slowly he got the hang of watching the movie on a really big screen.
The verdict? He sat throughout the 2 hours plus of movie, still very excited when it came to the end and occassionally he would blurp out “Oooo fast 95!” and “Nice Porsche”. After the movie, we had our meals at McDonalds (yeah.. I know it’s not healthy, but it’s a little treat for being such a good boy!), did a little shopping then home to have his afternoon nap.
Was I glad I brought him for his first cinema experience, nevermind I’m still working and missing out on his learning process everyday, but I’m happy we made it through the whole movie and wasn’t a wasted effort.
Was meddling with my E300 earlier today and managed to snap this from my office.

looks kinda hazy ain’t it?
Sorry the long silence… I’m all relaxed and energized after spending two relaxing weekends doing nothing but shopping and eating and just chit chatting. It’s a really nice feeling to know that you don’t have to wake up early to clear up the laundry that has been piling on or preparing breakfast for the little monster. Nah I wasn’t a bad mummy. We packed up and spent the weekend at Ian’s godparent’s place with the pre-text of going to watch some footie.
Spent our days just going leisure shopping and boy, did my boys know how to shop! Mind you…. we were not even outstation or out of the country! Still in jam-packed KL!! But I’m glad they’re happy.
I noticed that since we arrived, we have been snacking and eating every 2 hours and I’m not KIDDING! When we’re upright, we’ll be at the dining table munching on something.
I must say we had a really relaxing weekend and the best part was, we were too zonked out to watch the 3/4th placing early Sunday morning. The highlight of the day for Ian was, feeding the fishes and watching the frogs jumping away in the garden at night. Just as we were prepared to go for a swim on Sunday after breakfast, we saw a party going on at the poolside area. Had to scrap that idea and wait for another day.
We returned home in the evening and finished some housework, then continued my rest… hoping to have enough energy to catch the WC Finals. Survived only the first half, then continued the rest in the morning replay.
