This year’s Mid Autumn festival was celebrated at mom’s new place… We were hoping to be able to play our lanterns in the garden, but since the grass was newly planted, it needed sometime before putting pressure to it. So, we stayed indoors mostly. Mom made a few dishes and my contribution was a vege dish! Since we didn’t have much to do, we stayed over, and spent our weekend at her house lazing around and eating mooncakes…

How I miss watching “Kids say the darnest things” hosted by Bill Cosby. Here’s a few I heard throughout the week.
Ian was so-called feeding an insect he held captive in a box… “Better eat up your food, or your teeth will drop out”
I was nagging him to pack up his toys, and from a distance I heard this “Close your mouth mummy, or your teeth will come out”
Seen playing with his stuffed bears… “Don’t be so stubborn or I will beat your bumbum”
Seen playing with his cars “Vrooom… Uncle I want to pair-it (repair) the car. See the rims broken”
and finally, after many attempts to keep him quiet… “Don’t say sshhhh to me mummy”
