We then checked into Ian’s godparents place in Ampang. Had a “pasta” gathering to usher in the New Year.

Happy New Year everyone, and may it be a prosperous 2007 for you…

Yes, and the Wales checked into Trader’s Hotel this time for a night’s stay. We had this New Year’s eve/day all planned. So, the night at Trader’s was definitely a good start to the long break, into the New Year.

Time to go….  Byebye….

This year, we packed our bags for a one-night stay at my mom’s for Christmas. It has been a family tradition in Singapore that we start celebrate on the Eve, so that the kids could open their presents at the strike of midnite. We continued that tradition after we stopped celebrating in S’pore.

I had prepared grilled prawns & some super rich brownies for dessert alongside with the Turkey, Ham, mash potatoes, caesar salad and smoked salmon. Christmas ‘06 is gonna be a pure family affair, as our buddies are on the other side of Malaysia golfing.

Won’t say much, and let the food describe itself.

Merry Christmas to all!

Log cake Audrey made…

finally, some stollen and gingerbreadman for Christmas breakfast…

Last night, while I was doing some work at home, I gave Ian a piece of Pineapple tart that I bought during the weekend. After 10 minutes, he came up to me. “Mommy I’m done! I want some juice now.” So I thought wow, he finished it! The first time I gave him a tart, he ate the crust and was a halfway job.

Abit later, when it was time for bed, I went to clean up his eating area, and found this! The pineapple tart without its crusts! So this is how my boy eats his tarts. Other kids I know would just finish off the pineapple part, but not mine.

Finally, we put up the tree with the help of two little hands. Ian helped me decorate the bottom half of the tree. It’s getting more festive now…

Did myself a Holiday season header for my blog. Now to get my tree and pressies all ready! Santa, if you’re reading this, here’s my wish list, and I’ve been a good girl, mummy and wife this year!

1. A new kitchen

2. Ipod Nano (RED)

3. Bose SoundDock

4. John Grisham’s The Innocent Man

5. A new smartphone

The weekend was spent keeping my mom’s relatives from Singapore entertained. They were all in KL to attend a wedding dinner and we treated them to a night’s stay at Berjaya Colmar Tropicale at Bukit Tinggi. Though there were some glitches upon check-in, but we enjoyed our stay, I’ve never stayed out in the open with Ian just walking around the gardens and enjoying the cool air. I was busy snapping pictures to practice on my photography and to increase the number of pictures in my shutterstock account (Yes, that extra moolah can do some good!).

I was reading my daily dose of “Our Daily Bread” when I realised that there were a few occassions that I thought Life just wasn’t fair at all and often asked myself why. I will not talk too much about the story that is related to the topic, you may read it up in the link above. Just to share the last words with my friends or whoever that might cross my blog.

“If you feel that blessing pass you by,
And for you life seems a bit unfair,
Just remember, Christ was born to die,
And in His great salvation you can share”
– Hess

What I learnt from reading the article was ”never to think that the whole world revolves around you only.”

Life is not always fair, but God is always faithful, as quoted from “Our Daily Bread.”
