That’s another word from Ian’s vocab, “ah-ba-syed“, and No, it’s not a malay word or of any sort. It’s how he calls pasta / noodles. My sister drey treated us to dinner yesterday at Itallianies (sp?). Unfortunately Darren couldn’t join us, he was bogged down with work. So it was just the Chongs feasting on Pasta and Pizzas.

On the way to the restaurant, we were all debating on what to order, or how many pasta to order and we came up with a conclusion that we’ve got to have 1. Salad, 2. Pasta and 3. Pizza and not any two combinations. Because Dad had to have the Pizza, Mom had to have Salad and the old/new mummy aka Me had to have Pasta, Drey was okay with any two combination, and Ian had to have his Cars & ah-ba-syed.

We ordered 2 types of Ah-ba-syed, 1 Pizza, 1 Caesar’s Salad to be shared with the four of us. Alot or what??? We did feast and managed to pack everything in, except for the 3 slices of pizza that we doggy-bag for Darren.

Was a great dinner yest Drey, Thanks!!

After having a long chat with Jenn on Friday about bringing our kids to the Park, I realised that I’ve been neglecting Ian on that part. Since getting pregnant, my Saturday and Sunday afternoons are spent just lazing at home. So yesterday, I got myself together and ask my mom to come along with us to the Taman Tun park. Brough Ian’s football, few slices of bread and we were off to the park.

Ian insisted on feeding the fishes before we started doing anything, since it was his day out, just let him do as he wishes, we fed some fishes, tortoise and saw a group of monkeys playfully checking out the rubbish bin for some bites. After that, we went to the grassy area where Ian had a good time kicking football with me and mom. I didn’t dare run too much, knowing the clumsiness in me, I might just roll down triping on my own feet! He had loads of fun. After the football session, we headed to the swings and slides.

Love seeing him having fun in the open. Suddenly realise how much he misses being in the park, we’re mostly at home, and since we don’t have much of a garden in our compound, he only gets his free space when we go to my mom’s or air-conditioned concrete playground where he gets to wander and walk around when we go to the shopping centre.

I’ll make it a point to bring him to a park or garden every weekend. Unfortunately the weather here only permits us to go out in the open in the evenings, I only have Saturdays and Sundays to do that…. or until I become a SAHM.

hmmmm…. where next?

We had our monthly checkup this morning. As usual, the gynae would do an ultrasound then we’ll have a short chit chat or if I have any questions to ask. Today’s ultrasound felt so special, like all the vomiting and morning sickness didn’t matter anymore…. or if my old clothes didnt fit me anymore…. Why?? I could see the baby’s head, both the hands and legs, as if telling me “Hey mommy, check out my fingers, and my legs, hey look! I’m stretching.” Suddenly, I felt tears welling up, and quickly I wiped them away. Shy-lah, incase the doctor saw me…

Darren was there with me, he was equally amazed on how much the baby has grown. From the last checkup, it was just the size of a bean. While walking to our car, after the appointment, we just said to each other, we have so much to thank God for, giving us the opportunity to be new parents once again.
